Arriving at a collection of white dresses made from tablecloths, curtains, doilies, bedsheets and other fabrics, each dress is carefully crafted with the character’s self image in mind. Things like sleeves reflect protection while cascading necklines and sheer panels reflect confidence and power. Layering reflects indecisiveness—multiple options on which side of themselves a character wants to show to the world.

“The design process reminded me just how different my creations have been at different stages. I often don't have much time to reflect on my own process, but in dissecting each character I was able to look back. This project has me revisiting my old silhouettes and paying homage to who I once was while creating new styles that reflect who I am now. I am leaving this project with love for that person and an appreciation for who I have been.”
